General
Embossed tags are made from metals .020” or less in thickness. The thin material is ideal for embossing permanent raised letters. Embossed characters remain legible, even when painted over or soiled. Withstands abrasion and moist environments; good for indoor or outdoor use. Rounded corners allow for safe handling.

Graphics
Order blank, embossed or debossed. Graphics are created by pressing metal tags between two mated embossing dies, displacing the metal from its surface to create raised or recessed letters. Embossed letters are raised; debossed letters are recessed.

Consecutive embossed numbers, up to 7 digits, are available 3/16”, 1/4” or 3/8” high. Company logos and special graphics are available by quotation.

End user can print information on blank or embossed tags in the following ways:

  • Print with marker
  • Mechanically print by embossing or engraving
  • Matthews’ Pro•Point™ programmable indent marking system

Auto-embossed tags
Tags with variable messages may be suitable for auto-embossing. Messages are generated from text formatted in Microsoft Excel. This process is ideal for smaller-sized embossed tags that have unique messages. Because there are no embossing dies required, there are some size limitations.

Lettersizes available are 1/8", 5/32" and 7/32" (numbers only).

Material best suited for auto-embossing is .016" thick aluminum, brass or stainless steel.

Maximum size of tag for auto-embossing is 5.7" x 4.5". Contact us for available standard sizes as well as stocked materials.
